Why Should You Meditate With Tarot Cards?
You can gain a very deeper and more intimate understanding of the cards by meditating with the Tarot. It can also be a potent self-healing tool, a manifestation technique, or a channel for the Divine.
We may look into the significance and symbolism of each Tarot card when we use it as a meditation tool. It helps us to connect with our intuition by avoiding the conscious mind.
We can access a deeper level of information and insight by calming down and letting go of the constant mental chatter, which creates a route to our subconscious mind. We let our intuition lead us in this area, and by doing so, we gain a deeper comprehension of the cards.
I’m going to give you a quick 7-step method for meditating with the Tarot in today’s post.
Meditate With The Tarot Card
#1: Pull A Card On The Deck
Choose a Tarot card at random or choose the one you want to have a stronger connection to if you’re doing the meditation to just understand the meanings of the cards in more detail.
Additionally, you can choose a Tarot card depending on a current concern. For instance, you might choose the Two of Cups or the Lovers if you’re single and desire to attract love into your life. Or you could choose the Hermit if you were on a spiritual journey.
#2: Establish Your Environment For Meditation
Select a time and location where there won’t be any interruptions for at least 20 minutes. Ensure that you are relaxed, the phone is put away, and there are no other sources of distraction in the area.
You might want to listen to music or just be silent. You might light a few candles and burn some essential oils.
Put your back straight and sit. You’ll probably fall asleep if you lie down, though! you should also have your Tarot card in front of you.
#3: Concentrate On Your Breathing And Meditate
Closed your eyes. Once you feel relaxed, concentrate on your breathing.
As you take a breath through your nose, pay attention to how it feels on your nostrils. Through your nose, inhale deeply, and then exhale while once more paying attention to the sensation in your nostrils.
Breathe normally and keep your attention on how your breath feels.
If you find any unrelated thoughts entering your head at this point, simply watch them and then visualise them fading like clouds. As you begin to breathe, concentrate on that.
#4: Be At Ease And Visualise
Now turn your focus to your body. Feel the oxygen entering your body and supplying you with pure energy as you inhale. And when you exhale, see your body becoming relaxed as you do so.
Feel the calm penetrating your head, neck, shoulders, arms, chest, hips, legs, and feet all the way to your toes.
You feel at ease and calm right now.
#5: Pay Attention to the Tarot Card
Direct your focus to the Tarot card that is in front of you. Five slow breaths should be taken as you softly observe the Tarot card. Once more, if you notice any thoughts entering your head, just be aware of them and then see them disappearing like clouds. Refocus on your breathing and the Tarot card that is in front of you.
Imagine the card enlarging until the characters and the graphics are nearly life-size. Imagine yourself entering the card. Take a look around. Do you see anything? Who else is listed on your card? What items are there? What colours catch your eye?
Start giving an item on the card a quick touch to feel its texture. Do you hear anything? Inhale deeply and give the air a good sniff. Is there a food item on the card? Try it out.
Consider yourself now to be one of the characters on the card. Take on that persona or archetype. What’s it like to experience this person’s feelings? What emotions and thoughts does this person have? What are they doing, and how are they moving? What insight do they have on the current situation?
Start by speaking in that person’s voice. What are your thoughts? What do you want to say? What suggestions do you have?
Evaluate your surroundings. What gives you happiness? What sustains your body?
What, if anything, causes you stress, fear, or upset? At this time, pay attention to any bodily feelings and let go of any tension that may have occurred.
Find the many items and symbols on the card right away. What are their uses? Why are they in this place? What symbolic meaning do they have?
Lastly, take one more look around. What have you observed that you weren’t aware of before?
Your work is practically done at this point. Exit the picture first, then the Tarot card, and so on. Watch as the card reduces until it reaches its original size.
Step 6: Wake up
Recognise the work you’ve done and remember that you can come back at any time to this state of serenity and wisdom.
Start focusing your attention on the space around you while you take two deep breaths and feel your body’s energy return to your feet, hands, and torso.
If your eyes were closed, open them with a sense of fresh energy.
#7: Keep a Record of Your Thoughts And Visualisation
Keep a note of whatever you noticed, heard, thought, or felt during your Tarot card meditation right away. Put this right in your notepad or Tarot Workbook.
